Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a treatment that uses a small sample of your own blood to concentrate healing cells called platelets. These platelets are then injected into an injured area to help reduce pain and support the body’s natural repair process. PRP is often used for joint, tendon, and muscle injuries when pain has not improved with rest, therapy, or other treatments.
Steps
-
- Blood Draw (in-office)
-
- Processing with the Angel® System – Concentrate platelets and tailor the formulation to your case.
-
- Guided Injection – PRP is carefully injected into the target area (knee, shoulder, tendon, and more).
-
- Recovery and Follow-Up – Mild soreness for a day or two is common, then gradual improvement as healing progresses. We coordinate next steps and rehab guidance.
Most patients return to normal daily activity quickly, with a plan tailored to their injury and training needs.

- Chronic tendon pain (Achilles, tennis elbow)
- Rotator cuff and shoulder pain
- Knee cartilage wear and persistent knee pain
- Hip or low-back soft tissue injuries
The right diagnosis matters. A consultation helps determine whether PRP fits your condition and timeline.
Since 1990, Midwest Sports Medicine has helped patients return to sport, work, and everyday life with expert orthopedic care. PRP with the Angel® System is part of a larger care model that can include rehab, movement training, and follow-up support based on what your body needs next.
